Stacy Epps
Fierce intelligent rhymes, mixed with soft dreamy vocals over spaced out Hip Hop beats describes the sound that is Stacy Epps. Her sound is truly unique in her flow, songwriting style and beat-choice. Stacy has worked with some of the most talented & creative Hip Hop producers of this time including: Diamond D, Madlib, MF Doom, J-Dilla, Jneiro Jarel, Apex, Everett James, Karriem Riggins, S1 & Nick Speed.
She calls her sound:
spacedirthopfunksouljazz. Yeah, try to put that in a box.
Her energy, intellectualism and sonic force cannot be controlled. She is a sound gypsy by nature. Raised as an “Army brat” from Black & Japanese parents, Stacy moved every two years. Her only constant was music. Inspired by Billie Holliday, MC Lyte, Sade, Mary J. Blige, Lauryn Hill and many others. She knew her future was meant for something.

Stacy has been featured on numerous projects including: Sol Uprising, Scienz of Life’s Project Overground, Madvillain "Eye", Oh No "I Can’t Help Myself", Dr. Who Dat (Jneiro Jarel), Shape of Broad Minds "They Don’t Know."
Stacy’s last project was her debut EP "Ruff Drafts" which she put together in anticipation of the Sistaz in Rhyme Tour with Bahamadia and Invincible. Released in December of 2006, this was a truly independent project down to the artwork. She sold over 2,000 of these CDs worldwide.
Currently in the mixing stages is her long-awaited debut solo album "The Awakening" which will be released in Spring 2008. "Floatin," the "crazy" lead single from the upcoming album produced by Apex has been receiving rave reviews and many plays on various radio shows world-wide.
