Shorty Raw
Nicklaus Davis, a 24 yr. old student at Augusta Technical College. I'm a Microcomputer Specialist major. I was born and raised in Augusta, Ga. I was always a fan of music. My Grandma would play her old Rhythm and Blues albums such as BB King, Curtis Mayfield, Otis Redding, and etc...and I would dance for her and the family. As I grew older I became a bigger fan of rap music. I remember my first rap album was LL Cool J's "Radio". Back then I had no desire to rhyme but I had a passion for this form of music that can't be described by words. Later in my teenage years my taste in rap changed, I started to feel the gangsta rap....I was a big fan of artist like Ice Cube, Scarface, Spice 1, Dogg Pound, and N.W.A.

After I graduated from high school, I started to get into the east coast hip hop. It was totally different from the westcoast rap I a had gotten use to. Thats when I developed the desire to rhyme and create music. In the winter of 1997, I met this guy name Marcus, who at the time was a very close friend of MCK2, and we started this group called the "Inner Circle" which also consisted of Lord Lamont and MCK2. Things didn't work out well, so Lamont, MCK2, and myself started the group "Infinite Cycle". Early 1999 we independently released our debut album "Euphoria". After our first album, MCK2 and I did an duo project entitled "The Art of Reflective Evolution". At the same time we picked up a new member by the name of Jock, an emcee/spoken wordsmith, who happens to be a great friend of ours. Months went by since our 2nd release and MCK2 announces he's moving to Alabama. At first the news brought stress and strain to the group because MCK2 was a major element to our groups chemistry, but we all realized we can't stop doing what we had set out to do and that was to continue to make good music.
