Seven
Seven aka Young Bunchy Carter hails from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. With a potent combination of story-telling, political insight, and street swagger, the Central Islip, Long Island native has plenty to prove. Best known for his freestyle capabilities, Seven has won several battles of note. Among the highlights were the Rhyme Wars battle in Greensboro, NC; The Larry Picket Show Battle in Raleigh, NC; and an unprecedented 18 consecutive months as 102 Jamz freestyle champion.
Unlike other freestyle artists, Seven is a prolific writer and no stranger to creating full bodies of work. Formerly known as Apocalypse da Mind Benda of Winston-Salem duo The Nobodies, he was a portion of the creative collective that produced mid-90's bangers "Fables" (1997) and "Now Culture" (2003). But the stage is where this soulja has earned his stripes, touring with KRS-One, as well as performing with The Roots, De La Soul, C-N-N, and others.
This summer on Domination Recordings, Seven returns with his new EP titled "Ridin’ High" featuring Supastition, Equinox and more. Also in the works is Seven’s sophomore solo album, "Born Wit' Less". This time around he has trusted the production to a new mix of producers, including DJ Forge, Midi.Marc, Devaron and Keelay.
Also, be on the look-out for the newest installment of the Soulja Music series, Vol. 3: Da Revolution mixed by DJ Forge, coming soon!
