Prosperous Future Massacre

Since his larval stage, PFM has planned and slowly executed an assault on language and music. Growing up, he struggled with what can be considered out of body experiences, or ADD (as the doctors liked to call it), and he became a walking medical experiment when he wore electrodes on his head for a week. After embracing his insanity, he naturally fell into place with making music - first as an MC, and later on as a producer. Like many other kids, he dreamt of being an artist and made beats for fun, but he didn't consider himself an MC until he recorded his first song. Since then, PFM has branched off into making and producing beats, where he happily finds himself falling into self-induced k-holes. Sometimes he is inspired by simple situations, but his main interest and motivation is the human agenda. Before pursuing the music business, he did art and was influenced by the Surrealist, Dadaist and Cubist movements. A prospect of philosophy, he kept journals on theories before he officially wrote rhymes. Today his songs are loaded with obscure objects, people and ideas. One of his songs "Ubu Roi," is named after an early twentieth century Absurdist play about a greedy slob named Ubu, who murders a king and usurps the throne. The play's mash-up of language and slang was a satire on European royalty, religion, and society - very much like the references laid out all over PFM's solo album Kill Ugly Remix and his label Hoverock's first release Kite Crucifix Beyond: Valium 1. Pondering Flight Mammoth, one of the many definitions of the ever-changing acronym PFM, was inspired by the cartoon of a mammoth (referring to his size) who's gifted with wings, and escapes to see the truth.

Hoverock Records was birthed after he realized he needed to secure a feeding ground for the music he loved, while still making money and ensuring his freedom from the grease trap of the ipod generation. With a passion for business (and an obsession for Excel sheets) PFM uprooted a label that incorporates his artists with business principles to ensure their success. A ritualistic man by nature, PFM describes their debut release Kite Crucifix Beyond: Valium 1 as Hoverock's formal introduction to the music game. It was the first time their work was bound by flesh and made into something real. His solo release Kill Ugly Remix, a digital collaboration between PFM and DJ Manipulator gave him freedom from producing, and constantly being conflicted with his ADD tendencies to focus on perfection. Although it is the first album, he rightfully dubs it "remix," because they are old songs with new beats. His music is a survival kit for sombies that have awakened from their human state. As he explains, "this is a way to do things, but it is not the only answer." His goal is not to relate, but to break out of the polyphonic cookie-cutter culture and make his music be heard - so it reminds listeners why they fell in love with hip hop in the first place.
